Our Approach

Networks of Change was created by seasoned media and human rights professionals to support local movements as they work for social justice in their daily lives. We use traditional, social and new media as a common thread to join together our actions and achieve our mission. We believe in the power of free and fair media to ensure transparency and drive accountability from governments. Freedom of expression underpins all of our programs.

For media to be effective in advocating for social justice, media professionals and activists need the necessary skills and tools. Media training is an essential component for professionals seeking to effectively navigate the ever-evolving landscape of communication channels. Through comprehensive media training, activists and advocates can effectively amplify their voices and reach wider audiences.

Networks of Change - Our Approach

How We Work

We offer our local partners skills training, mentoring and access to communication technologies.  Networks supports activists, media content providers and issue-focused groups to produce quality content around key events as part of their ongoing work.

We understand that media training is not a one-size-fits-all solution. Each partner has unique needs and goals. That’s why we offer personalized mentoring to ensure that our partners receive the guidance and support they require.

We help our partners embed the use of technology into their daily programming, improving their ability to reach wider audiences day-to-day and quicken their ability to respond to issues. They then move forward to activate audiences around issues of social justice and equality.

Through media training, our partners learn how to effectively convey their messages, compelling their audiences to take meaningful steps towards social justice.
