Networks of Change came together with our partner PODA in Pakistan in 2016 to produce a series of 50 radio programs and public service messages to raise awareness about Violence Against Women.​Aao Baat Kerien! or “Let’s Talk!” — was heard by millions three days a week and soon became a program staple for listeners around the country, promoting women’s empowerment and championing human rights.Aao Baat Kerien! gave listeners the only radio programming of its type on the airwaves in Pakistan. Issues presented and produced by women, for women, to benefit all.

Women Standing Up for their Rights

The first series of radio programs unveiled the true stories of ordinary Pakistani women who confronted extraordinary challenges, met those challenges and then moved forward to lead accomplished lives. Their unending passion and courage provide a beacon of hope for many other women.

The second series raised awareness about pro-women legislation and explored ways to use the law and legal system to redress violence and other human rights violations.
